Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): you stop breathing during your sleep more than five times an hour. I actually have Hyponea more than Apnea (I don’t actually full on stop breathing, I just have a hard time of it). My apnea/hypopnea index, untreated, is about 24 events an hour.
Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome (DSPS): a fancy way of saying that you’re a night owl. It’s a real condition, with people who don’t produce enough melatonin to get to sleep at a “regular” hour.
